Compulsory School Hours
EYFS 8.50am – 3.20pm
Key Stage 1 8.45am – 3.20pm
Key Stage 2 8.50am – 3.30pm
The total time school is open in a typical week is 32.5 hours. In addition, we run a breakfast club and after-school clubs. Parents needing after-school childcare can call Camden’s Plot 10, an excellent and very local provider of after-school care.
Breakfast Club
We open school at 8am for breakfast club. Breakfast club is free thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, Greggs and run by staff and parent volunteers. Children who wish to come for breakfast club must arrive between 8am and 8:15am when the kitchen is open. Then they can have a delicious healthy breakfast, meet their friends, play games and be guaranteed to be on time for school!
Up to 40 children currently attend breakfast club and Year 6 are welcome all throughout SATs week.
Start of the day
The playground gates open at 8.45am. Members of SLT are on the gate at this time, should you wish to speak to them. Children go straight to their classrooms, ready to begin learning. Punctuality is so important so school keeps a record of late arrivals.
End of the day: Parent’s responsibility
Pupils are taken to the playground to be collected by their parents. Parents should collect their child from the allocated area; this avoids confusion and congestion at collection points. The member of staff dismissing the children must see the person collecting your child before handing them over.
Parents must inform their child’s class teacher and the office in advance if another adult is collecting your child. Please don’t be offended if we double-check before releasing your child. Making sure they leave the school with the right person is very important. SLT are on the gates every evening.
Parents must phone the school office if they are delayed in the event of an emergency and will not be able to collect their child on time. We keep a record of late collections.
