Reception has been reading Handa’s Surprise this week and learning all about Africa, animals and fruit!
As part of our learning the Reception children taste-tested some of the fruit from the story. After tasting each one, they had to come up with words to describe how it tasted and how it felt in their mouths. These words were then written down – words such as ‘tasty’, ‘delicious’, ‘soft’ and ‘squishy’.
The Reception children loved taste testing – although the avocado wasn’t as popular as some of the others!
