This week in maths we have been learning about multiplying two 2-digit numbers. First we recapped our times tables as knowing them is essential to our work. Then we looked at using the area model of multiplication, this is where we partition the numbers into tens and ones and multiply them that way. Then we looked at column method of multiplying two digits. Finally we looked at some problems and we were able to choose which method suited us best.
