It’s all power to the flower in Year 2 this week.
In Art, we continue to sketch parts of plants as inspired by our artist Pierre – Joseph Roudoute. We focused on detail this week and Year 2 were quite amazed by all the lines they could identify in our evergreen leaves.
In Science the children gathered up last week’s pots of cress from our experiment. They made conclusions on how plants grow best. See our picture below. Can you tell which variable was removed from each pot?
In English we created a Conscience Alley because we are at a crucial stage in our book where the princess has to make a difficult decision. Should she trust a polar bear… or her own mother? The consequences could be trouble for the princess and the bear. Will bad luck really befall them?!
