This week has been very exciting for Year 4. On Tuesday, we had a visit from the National Literacy Trust who brought an author in with them to tell us an exciting story about the Rainforest. this was done through musical instruments, different voices and actions that allowed us to join in the story.
On Thursday, we went to British Museum. We went to the museum to see the art exhibition “Contemporary collecting David Hockney to Cornelia Parker” and spent sometime sketching pieces that spoke to us. Then we went to see the Roman Exhibition, Legion: Life in the Roman army. The exhibition was extremely fun and allowed us to experience life in the Roman army, by trying on Roman helmets, trying to pick up very heavy Roman shields and playing the games Roman soldiers used to keep themselves occupied such as knucklebones.
