Our focused story of the week was” The Little Red Hen” which links well with our unit of learning” Farm and Farm Animals”. The children enjoyed singing the story as a rap song which helped in remembering the rhyme.
We learnt about the difference of mills in the past and now.
Did you know that a mill today with it’s advanced technology grinds up to 5 million tonnes of flour a year? This fact was quite impressive for our Nursery children.
On Friday during our cooking session, we wrote recipes on how to make bread and we made our own bread. Unlike the characters in the story, we all helped Dita to mix the ingredients and knead the bread. So we all got a piece of bread with oodles of creamy butter!!!
We also shared pictures of us as babies and toddlers, discussing the differences in our appearances then and now.
This was part of our unit of learning about growth.
