This week Year 5 have been thinking about problem solving. Studies have shown that children who learn problem-solving skills usually are more able to retain and recall information and it shows their understanding as they are applying what they have learnt to the problem at hand. We played a game as a class to work out the longest chain we could make on a hundred square using factors or multiples. We played it first as a class, then in pairs and then individually. Well done to Zak and Emma who were the winners!
