This week, years 5 and 6 were given a exciting opportunity to meet a member of the royal family. We were invited to sing at the grand opening of the Scene and Heard museum. HRH the Duchess of Ediburgh, who is the king’s sister in law, was invited to officially open the museum as she has previoulsy worked iwth the Scene and Heard charty in the past. First we arrived and practiced our ‘Somers Town Song’, then we waited patiently for her arrival. Finally, when she arrived we performed for her and listened to her speech about the amazing work that Scene and Heard do. The Duchess then declared the museum open, said hi to the children and then headed into the museum for a tour. We all really enjoyed meeting the Duchess and we hope that her charity work continues.
