We have had a very busy week in Nursery. Our unit of learning is “Farm and Farm Animals,” so all of our activities were centered around this theme. We learned how to milk a cow and discovered that cow’s milk comes from cows, not the supermarket. We also studied the life cycles of a chicken and a butterfly, comparing their similarities and differences.
We were thrilled to receive a visit from Farmer Joe and his pig, Greg. We had the opportunity to ask him questions about farm life. He explained how long it takes for a foal to become an adult and told us about all the animals on his farm.
During independent exploration, some children wrote their own stories, making them first-time authors. You will be able to see in the pictures below just how busy we have been.
