This week we really took our art to the next level as we put all we had learnt about post impressionism onto our pages. We learnt that post impressionist art is characterized by short, expressive brush strokes. We started the lesson practicing in our books before moving onto the background of our self portraits. We used Starry Night by Van Gogh as our inspiration for the backgrounds of our self portraits and I think you can agree they turned out amazingly!
