Year 2 have thoroughly enjoyed learning how to sketch facial features.
We have been inspired by Andy Warhol’s self-portraits and tried to recreate a similar style.
Year 2 created a large self-portrait using art pencils.
They then reduced the size of the image and continued to trace it four times to create an Andy Warhol style piece of art.
They are very proud of their outcomes and have learnt many new ways to create portraits and add detail.
This week we were also visited by the wonderful Caryl Hart. We loved meeting Carol again and thoroughly enjoyed not only singing and reading along to her new book- Meet The Dinosaurs, but we were each given our own copy to take home and keep! Raa!
