This week in Arthurstown, a terrible crime was committed. An evil wolf attacked the town and blew out the great fire, leaving the villagers freezing cold and close to perishing. So this week in year 3, we wrote newspaper reports, written to warn others of the deadly attack! See if you can spot the 5 W’s (who, what, where, when and why).
A really great standard of work . Pupils are clearly engaged in this and their enthusiasm shines through . I did spot the 5 Ws and that is a solid framework on which to construct their ideas .
Explicitly taught and evident in their responses
