The Reception children started a new Design & Technology project this week—making our Worry Critters!

You might be asking, What is a Worry Critter?

A Worry Critter is a small, cuddly stuffed toy that children can use to express and “share” their worries by telling them to the critter, often with the idea that the creature will “take away” their worries.

The children had many different puppets, designs, and materials to choose from when planning their Worry Critter. After selecting the most appropriate design and materials, they began creating!

What makes our Worry Critters so wonderful is how unique they are to each child and how much love and care went into creating them! Although not all children have made a Worry Critter yet, I couldn’t help but share this activity with you all.
