In the last two weeks, we have been learning about monsters, focusing on the story The Gruffalo. The children really enjoyed exploring the characters in the story and learning about the forest as a habitat for many animals. We also focused on prepositional language as we played a game of Hide and Seek, placing the animals in the different locations where they are described to live in the book. To conclude our week on our favorite monster, we made a Gruffalo crumble, featuring all its body parts, from the orange eyes to the poisonous wart on its nose.
