Each class visits the Camden Learning Centre (CLC) twice a year as part of our Computing curriculum. The first visit in the Autumn Term focusses on developing the children’s Digital Literacy skills, the second, their Computing!
Our workshop today was titled ‘Early Programming’ and gave children opportunities to use a variety of devices in different ways, as well as begin coding!
At first, the children had a choice between:
- Exploring 2Simple on the Computers
- Using Purpe Mash on the iPads
- Using the Lego Coding Express

After that, we focussed specifically on Early Programming & Coding using Scratch. I was completely blown away by the Early Coding skills of our reception children, which are on display in the videos below!
