In Art, Year 5 have been looking at a Bengali artist called Abdus Shakoor. We looked at his art style and we noticed that he shows his culture in his artwork. We looked at the colours he uses and the shapes he uses for drawing faces. We tried our best to recreate a piece of his artwork and the we experimented with using colour. We noticed that he doesn’t use realistic colours and often colours people in blue. We then designed our final pieces in his style and then used chalks, oil pastels and crayons to add colour.
