Year 5 have been working hard on learning their Brass instruments all year. They have shown commitment by attending their weekly Brass Band sessions, remembering their instruments and practicing at home. This culminated in two final performances, one in school for the rest of Key Stage 2 and parents and one in the bandstand in Parliament Hill Fields. The children performed ‘Mercy Mercy Mercy’, ‘When the Saints come Marching In’ and a South African song called ‘Homecoming’. I’m sure everyone enjoyed the concerts and I’m sure that the children will be inspired to continue learning and practicing their instruments.
