This week, our Reception children took part in British Science Week, exploring the theme ‘Change & Adapt’. They watched exciting scientific experiments, completed hands-on STEM projects, and learned about famous British scientists from the past.

Our STEM activities included:
🦋 Making paper chain caterpillars and butterflies – learning about metamorphosis.
👾 Decorating ‘box monsters’ – imagining how creatures adapt to their environments.
🚀 Building and launching rockets – experimenting with force and motion.
✈️ Comparing paper airplanes – testing how shape affects flight.

Through these activities, the children explored how animals and objects adapt and change in different environments. It was a fantastic week of discovery, creativity, and fun!
