This week has been quite busy in Year 5! We kicked off Black History Month with a visit from someone called Kwame, who taught us about Djembe drums. We learnt the history of the drums, how they were made, how to play them and some traditional African songs. He also taught us some stories and a brief history of some African countries. It was so much fun!
This week we also visited the Camden Learning Centre where we learnt all about Music Production. We used Software called Logic Pro X to electronically create music. We added the drums first, then the bass and finally we added some trumpet sounds. Rod was super impressed with us because usually this software is used by older children!
