Reception celebrated Rosh Hashanah – the Jewish New Year – today. The children learned about Rosh Hashanah, what it signifies, and how it’s celebrated. We pretended to blow the shofar and sang traditional Rosh Hashanah songs. Afterward, the children were able to have honey and apples – which is super sweet, to represent that we want a sweet new year. We also made a raisin slice during cooking, which the children enjoyed in the afternoon!
A lovely Friday with a very lovely class.
