Year 2 have been making fire engines as part of their D.T curriculum.
Fist, we looked at how fire engines have changed over the years.
Then, we designed our own fire engines.
Next, we learnt how they moved; the mechanism which involves wheels, axles and their own made chassis.
At the end of the week, the children were ready to put their new skills to the test as they made their very own fire engines.
Some personalised number plates, ladders and lights allowed further personalisation.
