Our unit of learning in the first half term is “People that help us”. We read the story”Emergency” which explains the role of each emergency vehicle.
Nursery children had the opportunity to act out some of the important roles such as doctors, vets and fire fighters. They were so enthusiastic about the fire fighter role that they made hats and a fire engine for role playing. When they were acting up scenarios about an emergency, all children remembered to call 999.
