Welcome back to our last term of the academic year. As our units of learning for the Summer term are “Growing and Plants”, this week we read the story” Jasper’s Beanstalk”. We learnt about how plants grow from seeds and we learnt about all the essentials they need to grow such as air, light, soil and water (but not too much).
We also learnt the days of the week and that we need to have patience and wait for plants to grow. Each child planted a bean seed and kept diaries to check their growth.
In Maths, we have been using cubes and other objects to measure the height of different plants and each other. We also became number detectives in order to help us recognize numbers up to 10 and put them in order in a number line.
