As part of our Unit of Learning, “London – Where Do We Live?”, the Reception children embarked on an exciting local area walk through Somers Town.

To prepare for this adventure, we spent the week learning all about Somers Town and its landmarks. The children were shown pictures of the local landmarks before our walk, so they knew what to look out for. Armed with clipboards and photos, they eagerly set out to spot each landmark, checking them off one by one as we explored the area.

The trip was a lovely experience for the children. They were excited to explore their neighborhood, point out familiar sights, and even catch glimpses of their homes. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and their behaviour throughout the day was wonderful. While we had some tired little legs by the end, it was a wonderful day!
