This week was really busy in Year 5! On Monday we went on a local trip to Camley Street Natural Park where we did a workshop about wildlife and looking after our surroundings. We walked around the wildlife area, noting down anything interesting that we saw. We also learnt about ways which we can prevent harm to wildlife and how to help plants and animals thrive. It was nice to be out in nature for a change!
On Tuesday, we had an Ancient Greek themed day and children came to school dressed in Ancient Greek costumes. We played some Ancient Greek games, tried some Greek food and even acted out a Greek Tragedy. We wanted to do a mini Greek Olympics but unfortunately the rain didn’t allow us so we watched Hercules instead. We also did some artwork based on Ancient Greece as well as learning how to write using the Greek alphabet. What a fun day!
