The Reception children visited Pizza Express for a pizza-making class this week! First, the children had to take the tube to Leicester Square, a very busy area of London. Reception boarded and disembarked the train safely and walked beautifully to and from the restaurant, which made Jason and Amy very proud.
When we arrived, we, of course, washed our hands before it was time to cook! The children practiced spreading the dough, brushing the base with pizza sauce, and adding the cheese. Finally, we cooked our pizzas, and it was time to eat!
We chose to enjoy our pizzas on the steps of Trafalgar Square. The view was extroadinary—we could even see Big Ben! Although not everything went perfectly on our trip (they were testing the fire alarm at Pizza Express!), the children behaved beautifully throughout and demonstrated maturity and resilience. We feel very blessed to teach such a wonderful class of children
