As you all know, Hamleys asked us to create a new monster puppet to sell in their toy shop! We had a puppet criteria and the puppets had to be:
- Patterned
- Arch shaped
- Durable
- Colourful
We went on a journey, understanding how to join, sew, cut and evaluate.
We tested materials to see which ones were durable – tissue paper just did not make the cut! Felt was just right.
Then, we carefully tested joining techniques and glue, just did not hold the felt together very well.
After that, we learnt how to sew! We learnt how to create a whip stitch and a running stitch too.
Finally, we were ready to create our monster puppets. So much research, designing and evaluating has gone into our creations and here they are!
