Year 2 have been looking at Fact Families in Maths.
We know that two parts can add up to make a whole.
We know that when we start with the total amount, we can take parts from it.
This week we did problem solving using our knowledge of Fact Families.
Multi-link helped us to see the parts come together to form the whole amount.
We could also see how the commutative law works because we can switch our starting number to make our whole.
Great problem solving Year 2.
Ask your child what the Fact family for 7 + 8 = ? They should tell you four separate number sentences.
