Can you guess what our focused story of the week was?
There was lots of running and chasing involved.
The main character is very cheeky and has buttons on his body. He goes on a long journey until he trusts a fox, which pretends to help him cross a river but eats him in the end.
Nursery children had a few ideas on how to help this character to cross the river, such as building a bridge or a boat. When we did build some boats from cardboard and plastic materials , we found out that the plastic one didn’t sink, therefore it was better to use.
In our “Bakery” role play area, we baked some friends for the main character of our story. Unfortunately we had to experiment with one to put it in the water to see if our predictions were right, would they break and become crumbles. And that’s exactly what happened.
