This week in Reception we have been reading the story ‘Little Red’ based on the traditional tale of Little Red Riding Hood. As I’m sure you’re aware, in this story there’s a dastardly wolf, who not only gobbles up grandma but also dresses up as her!
When unpacking this part of the story, the children were introduced to a new keyword – ‘disguise’. After introducing the word the children were inspired to use our dress-ups and other materials to create disguises themselves – this led us to our plan. To dress in disguises, sneak up on Miss Heard and give her a scare!
The children first got dressed, practised their sneaking and then the plan was in motion.
Miss Heard was very surprised to see all of the children wearing their disguises!
