This has been an exciting week for Year 4, as we started our swimming lessons. We have made so much progress in the first week and are really looking forward to swimming again next week to continue our lessons.
This week in English, we have been learning how to write instructional texts. As we have started a new class read, ‘The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane’, we have been writing about how to take care of a china rabbit. We’ve had to be very careful about the types of products we’ve used as the toy is made of both china and real rabbit fur.
In Maths, we finished learning about perimeter and have started to look at fractions. We have been using retrieval practice to help us remember important vocabulary such as denominator and numerator.
