Big welcome back to the second half of the Autumn term.
This term we will be learning about the Victorians and the History of Somers Town as well as electricity in Science and Zoetropes in DT.
This week Year 4 were invited along to the October Gallery to visit an exhibition by Alexis Peskine. This solo show contains new works by Alexis. His signature works are large-scale mixed media ‘portraits’ of the African diaspora, which are rendered by hammering nails of different gauge, with pin-point accuracy, into wood stained with coffee and mud.
During the trip, we go to create 3D portraits from card, newspaper and brown paper inspired by Peskine’s work at the Gallery.
