For the first week of the Summer Term, the Reception children have been reading and exploring a true classic – The Very Hungry Caterpillar!
This involved a variety of different learning and activities, including looking at the life cycle of butterflies and the days of the week. We completed activities such as ordering the story from beginning to end, sketching and drawing the stages of a butterflies life cycle, making booklets about butterflies, building caterpillars using playdough, painting and even finding caterpillars and other minibeasts in the school garden!
