A truly delightful week of theatre and a day trip to the London Zoo.
Year 2 have gorged on enriching activities this week.
We started the week with Hobgoblin Theatre Company performing a Christmas Carol. The children were completely gripped and rather proud that they knew the plot as we had read a version in class. It is a classic Dickensian story that will be loved for many generations to come and one that has no doubt taught our children to be kind whatever the season is!
Following that, we spent the day at The London Zoo on Thursday where we got to meet Santa Claus, Mrs Claus, an elf named Treacle and obviously… a host of animals.
Ask your child if they can explain why camels are well adapted to their habitat.
Can they recall why a monkey puzzle tree is called a monkey puzzle tree?
Year 2 have been putting together their own theatre performance of “Everyone Loves a Baby!”
Next week, Year 2 take to the stage! We can’t wait.
