Our new Unit of Learning in Reception is Recycling and the Environment and this week we have been reading the book ‘Michael Recycle’. As part of this new Unit our key question has been ‘What can we recycle?’ The children have been learning about the difference between rubbish and recycling, the importance of recycling and what happens to our rubbish (and our recycling) after it’s been put in the bin.
On Wednesday the children found that someone had made a big mess on our football pitch! They had left trash (and recycling) everywhere and the children had to clean up this mess to make sure our football pitch was looking it’s best. The children were very excited to help clean up our planet by collecting and sorting through all this rubbish.
