This week, the children explored the role of a captain on a pirate ship. They created job applications and, carried out a ‘Diamond Nine’ activity. This allowed them to think critically about why qualities of a captain are important, but also what they would eliminate and why. They had so much fun comparing people and decided on whether the images in front of them were pirates or not. They used all of their knowledge about pirates to help them make decisions. We then had a debate about our decisions!
