Year 2 celebrated World Book Day this week, coming in a variety of costumes showing off their favourite books and characters. Of course, there were many chances to read and listen to stories throughout the day. The class had a chance to choose two books to take home and they had the opportinity to read and share them with their friends.
They also heard a story from Mr Burke who read Thing One and Thing Two by Dr Seuss and later spent time doing some shared reading with Year 4. Other exciting activities took place during the day. These included making their own book marks and designing a book cover for a book of their choice.
It was a day full of books, reading, characters and adventure! Well done Year 2 for all your efforts!
